Pearl Pictures

Pearl-broc-aw-4

‘Your Wedding Day Captured Forever’ is the motto of Pearl Pictures. Working closely with founders Lucy and Jemma we developed the brand, and designed a suite of materials prominently featuring the wonderful feedback they routinely receive.

Reconstructing a Renaissance masterpiece

Paolo-veronese-saint-michael For the first time in over 200 years the surviving fragments of Veronese's Petrobelli Altarpiece were reunited at Dulwich Picture Gallery. We designed the graphics with suitable dignified, classically-inspired typography.

The Lion and the Dragon

Lion-dragon

2008 sees a year-long celebration of modern China called China Now. We were asked by Dulwich Picture Gallery to create designs for their contribution, which is a small but fascinating exhibition of photographs of China ‘Then’. The photographs relate to James Stewart Lockhart and Reginald Johnston, British administrators in the territory of Weihaewei, then leased from the Chinese.

Justice Week

JusticewkThe Justice under stress logotype which was commissioned by trade union Napo inspired this design for Justice Week. ‘All key staff in the criminal justice system are experiencing parallel problems with pay disputes, cuts to national budgets and creeping privatisation or civilianisation. These three factors are having a profound and damaging effect on the standards of service to the community’.

An American's Passion for British Art

Ra-aapbaAfter a paid pitch our concept was chosen for the marketing design of this Royal Academy exhibition. An American's Passion for British Art: Paul Mellon's Legacy marked the centenary of the birth of Paul Mellon (1907 – 1999), one of the greatest collectors of British art. It consisted of major works from the Paul Mellon Collection at the Yale Center for British Art.

50th anniversary celebrations

Wdew07The society was founded in 1957, taking its name from William Caxton's journeyman, Wynkyn de Worde. James Alexander is the Honorary Designer for this the anniversary year. Celebrations will include the unveiling of a plaque to ‘de Worde in St Brides – the printers church in Fleet Street.

‘Real tools for real traders’

MdsMDS is a leading independent supplier of financial market data, tools and services for both private and professional investors and traders. We created this family of logotypes to identify their services which range from home trading and FX to spread betting.

Learning in Lambeth

Lclc There are over 100 City Learning Centres operating across the country. They provide state-of-the art ICT-based learning opportunities for the pupils at the host school, for pupils at a network of surrounding schools and for the wider community. Shown here is the stationery which forms part of our identity for the Lambeth CLC in South London.

Numerica identity

NumericaWe designed this identity for Numerica when it was created from firms, Levy Gee, NMGW and Jayson Newman. They joined together to form a company of business advisers and accountants where the whole was greater than the sum of the parts. This inspired us to use the ‘sum of’ symbol that appears as the e in the logotype. We simultaneously created the identity for sister company AV Audit.

Jemma Watts Photography

JemmaJemma is a freelance photographer, focussing on four key areas: Food, Still life, Travel and People. We developed this logo for her and produced a series of postcards. Her style is simple and relaxed, using natural daylight to emphasise the beauty of her clean, stunning images.
